Erik Johansson (born 30 December 1988) is a Swedish footballer who plays for Copenhagen as a defender.
Johansson started his career at Superettan side Falkenbergs FF in 2008 when he was promoted to the first team squad. He transferred to GAIS on 1 September 2011. GAIS expressed early on that they considered to play his as a defender instead as a midfielder. GAIS were relegated to Superettan at the end of the season. Johansson was voted player of the year for GAIS in 2012.
On 12 December 2012, Johansson was presented as a Malmo FF player. He joined the club on 1 January 2013 when the transfer window opened in Sweden. Johansson signed a four-year contract lasting until the end of the 2016 season. Johansson left Swedish football for the first time as he agreed to join Belgian Pro League club Gent on a four-year contract. He was assigned the number five shirt. On 18 January 2016, Johansson signed for Danish Superliga side Copenhagen for an undisclosed fee. He signed a contract until 2020 and will wear the number five shirt. |
